Gelson’s Bargaining starts TOMORROW!

Gelson’s members are coming to the table to get the contract we deserve

Last week, Ralphs, Vons, Albertsons, and Pavilions members ratified a historic contract that included:

• Substantial wage increases

• A new supplemental pension plan to help workers in their retirement

• Increased healthcare benefit contributions and faster healthcare eligibility for new hires

• Staffing language that requires reasonable staffing levels that address efficient operation of the store, the health and safety of employees, and the quality of customer service

Now it’s our turn to fight for the living wages, affordable healthcare benefits, reliable pension, and better staffing and working conditions that we deserve.

How Bargaining Will Work

Our first bargaining session with Gelson’s is tomorrow, July 15th. The worker bargaining committee and leaders from UFCW Locals that represent Gelson’s workers will work to get a tentative agreement that reflects your values and priorities.

At the conclusion of tomorrow’s session, we’ll send you an update on what happened at the table and our next steps.
