Stater Bros. Boycotts Begin Next Week!
We’re done waiting for them to figure out how valuable we are
Today, we were joined by a federal mediator for the first time since we began bargaining with Stater Bros. nearly five months ago. We had hoped that we would continue making incremental progress, and we even held off on a boycott today because of that, but there was no movement.
So now we’re refusing to back down in the face of threats from CEO Pete Van Helden himself. We showed up in force for a rally in Long Beach today to protest the numerous unfair labor practices Stater Bros. continues to commit while we try to negotiate a fair contract, and we’re turning up the heat.
JOIN US for our first boycott next Monday, August 4, where we’ll be protesting Stater Bros.’ numerous unfair labor practices and asking customers to not shop at this store:
STATER BROS. #202
1390 ALLEN AVE, PASADENA, CA 91104
AUGUST 4 | 11 AM - 1 PM
Talks broke off tonight, but we’re scheduled to meet with the company next week on Tuesday August 5 and Wednesday August 6, 2025. If you have any questions about what’s happening at the table, or any of the upcoming actions, reach out to your Bargaining Committee Member, Steward, or Union Representative.
In solidarity,
Your Grocery Workers Rising Bargaining Committee
